So I already been pm'ing Debauch about this, but in case he doesn't get on I figured I'd post public and see what the rest of you think as well (clint). Guy here in town has a 60, he's older (50's) doesn't know much about the 60 its in a box in his garage was gonna bring it over this weekend to show me and no showed, I just contacted him about it and he said that when he turned it on "the light on the screen lit up" and thats it, he cant' really tell me much else he said he thinks it "worthless" and told me to make em offer, should I grab it for 100 or no? The only other 60 I've seen in this city belonged to Hi-tek, they're RARE around here for sure.

Could it be something daft like the contrast needing adjustment? I'd grab it for 100 either way.

cop that!

then holler at Bruce Forat, VST Service or EPR Electronics. if it works then you're all good. if not, any of these cats can hook it up for you and get that beast up and running for you.

VST is cool. They fixed an MPC 3000 for my boy he bought off of ebay and it was broke.

Forat is real cool, that's who i got my MPC 60 from.

EPR Electronics are mad cool too. They're originally from NYC, now based out of Florida. He hooked up my boys broken EPS and SP-1200.

depends on what's wrong with it. they're all competitive in price. Forat's in Cali, VST is in Cali and EPR is in Florida. so depending where you live, decide who to go with. you can also call them all and tell them what the trouble is and they'll all give you a rough idea of what's wrong and a rough idea price quote to fix. keep in mind shipping from where you're located.

they're all official.

Arkyve that sounds like a potentially good find.

Get a viewing before someone else sees it and pays more than your offer.

If it's in a box it's likely had a very cosy life up until now.

Who knows that 60 could have the elusive Akai OS 2.14, ram upgrade or OS 3.11...

I'd text him an offer he couldn't refuse and leave it at that.

If nothing else it was worth a try Ark, you really have to jump on these finds immediately because all too often;

Tomorrow never comes...
