audio tracks & cc to pad / patterns to pad

okay, so I'm still wrapping my head around some things, but came up with an idea and questions.

Has anyone tried to use audio tracks with the new cc to pad feature (or pattern to pad with series of cc's)? I'm thinking it would be cool to have an audio track, then have some pads used as markers for the audio track. That way you could say for example, load up a full song, or a full set, then use the pads to remix, jump around the set, etc. example: 64 bar song, pad a01 would have marker set to jump sequence to bar 16, etc.

seems like it would be cool also if the "go to" button still worked, especially with audio tracks.

I remember in the old versions there was a "pad locate" function. I've never used it but is that function still there?

It was not very popular so I don t know if it has been removed or not but it worked like that :

really?? i didnt know. Looks like MMC then. so i guess it would be MMC on each pad
