There is no IB-105 HD for the MPC60.

Never heard of an MPC60 with a port for connecting to Atari computers.
If your taliking about the rs232 port - it doesn't do anything.

see that white port ....thats what were talking about...i dont think its standard on a mpc60

Well, you are probably right. The Atari connector is actually a 19 pin connection and this one has only 9. Nevertheless, once the MPC is with me, I am trying to find out what it is.

you know what that probably is? it's probably the 8 outputs all in one.. 8 connectors and a ground or something... it seems odd but maybe someone modded the machine to use just one cable or something.

the oberheim dpx i just picked up has a cd rom port with 9 holes like the one in the photo....mr debauch maybe correct though....from emulator archive...

Audio : The DPX-1 has a single unbalanced audio output. Although the optional CDROM interface adds another 8 mono outs. All on 1/4" jacks

The MPC60 has arrived. MPCHunter is right, it has the memory expansion, as I was able to sample 26 seconds. Nice surprise! I am quite happy about that, since Ram is getting hard to find and rather expensive these days.

Quoting the seller, the white 9 pin connector is used for connecting the MPC to an Atari computer (as gertie already said). I might try that later on, using Avalon or something similar. Not really essential, but a nice add on.

Overall, the condition of the machine is good, just no backlight anymore (was expected) and a whining from the LCD (something I might look into later on).

Very happy about having a MPC60 in my collection!

What does it allow you to do when connected to an Atari ?

Not really sure, but I guess I could use a sample editor, such as Avalon in order to process samples.

RS ports are sometimes used for transport control. Wouldn't surprise me if that's what it does. Does the 60 have MMC? This would have been the workaround.
