Using mpc 2000xl as midi controller for studio one

can somebody please help me as to what i need to do to use my mpc 2000xl as a midi controller for studio one, I'm using the presonus audio box usb interface...
how many cables? what sockets they go in?
how do i sync on the mpc? on studio one?

This guy just made a thread about this. Not only he doesn't read the manuals, but he doesn't read the posts to his own questions.

I'll give you a clue, isn't it funny how the MPC and your Audiobox both have these funny looking plugs? You could actually READ the labeling on the jacks. C'mon son this is only slightly more difficult than opening a door, or a manual in your case.

Get your basics down and everyone here will go the length to help you.

I've read the manuals for both studio one and the mpc 2000xl
so i have a midi cable going from A midi out of the mpc connecting to Midi in on my interface.

i have set up the mpc using shift 9...and in studio one the left midi light lights up when i hit a drum pad...
what I'm trying to do is use the mpc as a midi controller for the drums that come with studio one...any ideaS??
