If anyone tryna drop knowledge bout the MPC's famous swing go head. My only question is do all your drum tracks have the same swing or do they vary? Say the kick is at 52%, the hat(s) at 55%, & maybe the snare at 54%.. I haven't ventured that far into it yet I usually just leave mine around 54%, depends.

From what I know you can't individually set swing on just the hi-hat or just the snare. It swings the entire thing. I suggest you play around with it, make a simple drum track add a lot of swing to it and have another drum track in a new sequence with no swing. So you can hear it for yourself

you can totally apply different swing to different elements. either break them up by track, or just select the note you want to apply swing / shift to where it says 'note' in the swing setup screen (im on a 2kxl).

to answer the original question, it depends.
