lol... custom MPC2000 made by me... all buttons, knobs, jog wheel, fader are black plastic not painted, all LEDs were replaced for those white LEDs... I really like how it looks now.

thanks for the idea, but this defeats the point. I'm holding this contest to provide variety on my project, I don't want people to make beats like my beats, i want them to make beats like their beats. I understand what your saying but I want stuff that's way off my radar style-wise. thanks and get your links in, this joint ships early December. Good luck!

Alright. This may be my first post, but I've been lurking forever. I need an 8 out pretty bad and I like helping MC's out, so here goes nothing. I put 2 tracks up on my sound cloud. Heroism is horn based sampling, and Dark is some dirty boom bap ish that a faster rapper can flow to. Check it em out man. Thanks for the look. If you need any track extended, just let me know.

I'm pretty much re-listening to all the entries today and getting a feel for what's sounding right for this project. Thanks for all the contributions. with no further adue.... i'm going with the track on Omar's youtube, the "silly" beat. Thanks for all the participation. For what it's worth, I wanted to get some tracks from Locotes, if i had another 8 outs i'd do it. I always get new stuff in, so I'll probably do another one of these in the future to fill one of the final slots on this project.

Mostly I liked the feel of the beat. It's gonna be easy for guys to rap over. If I could give you guys any constructive criticism, it would be that a lot of the material I listened to lacked a song structure. This is fine, perhaps as the composer, you didn't intend for it to go beyond the stage of an instrumental. But give it some thought when you're designing a composition, you have to supply a verse, hook, bridge, ect if someone is going to write lyrics over it. It's just not enough to put a 8 bar loop on repeat for 2 mins. I'm not saying I don't have stock piles of those types of beats with my name on em, but something of that nature will require additional production. And since I'm giving away a $100 board, i'm just looking for a completed product.

You guys supplied some good music for me, and like I said, I'll be sure to do this in the future. We'll have to make sure Omar testifies on the boards that I delivered the 8o's and i'm in fact legitimate. Thanks again.
