Hi there, I've bought a Yamaha SCSI-IDE adapter and an ACS IDE CF adapter kit off ebay to fit in my MPC60 (with scsi) but I can't find installation instruction anywhere.
(and I'm sure there used to be help on scsicardreaders but that's gone now.)

I've found the scsi for samplers.com MPC3000 pdf but the power supply wiring is different to the 60.

Does the old cable to the floppy have 5v and 12v or just 5v and what are the pins (or can I just put a multimeter on them?) the colouring on the cable isn't much help as all the wires are yellow (with dashes or crosses on them!)

If anyone has a link to the installation guide for the 60 it would be appreciated.

Look up those colors on the internet and you'll find out what voltages run through them. Stop guessing.

you can also get a hold of the 60's service manual.

the dashes are negative, the pluses are positive as you already know.. yes, use the multi meter. My guess though is you will have one 5 volt and one 12 volt since that is the standard for floppy drives. (wire colours could still be anything regardless of that)

and if you have a multi meter.. just check anyways if for nothing more than to find out if everything is okay.
