wazzup everybody, just like to say that it's a pleasure reading all those
very interesting postst on this ggrreeat machine ! till now no questions yet, i'll figure most of it out by myself hopefully, but what a great resource this is !

i will only trie to make the most of this machine with vinyl only, make some boom-bap hiphop old school vibe.. i've got the 60 all expanded and in excellent shape !

the only thing i'm at war at is the gain / record volume, but like u all say....
first read the topics..so imma do that ! PEACE and greetingz from a new MPC 60 loverrr !! ps anybody from the netherlands..maybe nice to hook up someday..

yo thanks !

but.. the middle and loudest gain on the mpc give too much distortrion..when he's set at the lowest gain, i have to set my mixer on "mono" and the i have good sound comin from da rokits , exept when i sampled a bassdrum..it's too much " overkill" maybe tonight i'll try a simple headphone output...maybe that's workin better.

my setup is 2 x sl1200's technics with shure m447's ) , rodec scratboxboxmixer - the master 2from the rodec goes to the mpc ( two tulips- to one jack ) the mpc goes to an vestax mixer 07 pro, and that one goes to Rokit monitors, i use the jacks therefore.
(vestax mixer i must set the low very minus, too much bass elsewise)

I tried to connect via tulips the mpc directly to the rokits, but that didn't work too well also...
the master 1out on my rodec is goes directly to the rokits. (xlr 3 pin), so i also when i want to sample, have to plug the jacks in again evertime.. (can't do them both in the monitors.

any suggestions ?

what? it wasn't only in mono when you switched it to low... it was ALWAYS in mono, because the mpc 60 only samples in mono.

switch the gain switch to the loudest setting you can get it without distorting.. who cares about the rokkits and how loud they are set at, look at the input threshold meter in the record screen to see where the >>>>>>>>>>>[] goes .. try and get it as close to the end before it starts to clip or distort....

if that winds up being too loud it does not matter... that is why you have a mixer... look at your mpc's buttons and you will find it.

I am supposed to be getting a new turntable this week.. a brand spanking new one... I have piles of vinyl I haven't used in a while since my last needle went and I didn't replace it yet... but my tables weren't amazing anyways so getting a brand new table is giving me that same feeling as when I first got an MPC all over again!
