An instant "awesome" function would be nice.

all i want from JJ OS2XL is Stability ,
there are way to many features and coming,
at the costs of stabity - its crashing while working on à beat
since OS2XL 3.xx updates ... :(

Hardware boxes supposed to be robust n crash proof
versus computers n software, isnt it?

wat was the most stable JJ OS2XL prior to 3.xx ?

I have always been running the newest JJOS2XL but my unit have never crashed, and thats even with MIDI out and complex things going on in both sequencer and programs.

Happy to hear that, unfirtunately i cannot recreate the
crash i've experienced last night ...
as i was working on the new programm
than has left MPC on for 3/4 hours
but when i returned to recording a new sequence
with a Grid Mode on a constant loop ...
that's is when the Grid Mode screen
just froze while sound kept playing.....

maybe it has to do with the hours MPC been on,
maybe it's a BUG....

but I just don't feel safe working on the beat without
saving all files after each edit...
i never had crashes with the version 4.xx
it's all started from OS2XL 3.x updates... :(

yea ok, i think i want to see what i requested in the past. INVERT PHASE. god damn it its all i really want now. OK that and the loop player scrapped as well. I dont use it, it just dumbs down MPC IMHO and it makes it crash all the time. I play MPC all day everyday and its satble till you hit the loop page and watch all your hard work dissapear. Another way to rash MPC is trying to blend stereo and mono samples. Stack error ensues, but its known problem and is not really a problem with JJOSXL more a user error problem i.e. my fault really, so i can deal with that. I wish JJ would make me a JJOSXL3.xx with out the looper.

Yes, the looper crashes my MPC aswell when I
accidentally push some buttons and the looper window opens...

what's with mono and stereo samples in the same programm,
do they crash MPC ?

I prefer to use mono samples for drums...
and did mixed them up in the same program with stereo samples...
is that wat causes eventual crashes?
could u discribe stereo/mono problem please?

in JJOSXL you can blend two samples into one sample MIX A+B. When one is stereo and one is mono it gets bugged out and crashes. so as i said its user error, not JJOSXLs fault as there is a warning about it from memory. I do hate the looper though, as i dont use it and it crashes when i got to it sometimes as im playing

cant offer my POV yet as I am a late adopter..............just installed OS2 last night, have yet to really dive in............still seriously considering the move up to os2xl....

from what I've read, seen, & experienced I cant figure why i waited so long to install

hm.

the big: LOOP END/SAMPLE END independence - so that the rest of the sample plays on NOTE OFF

the small: ability to use UNDO to copy parameters between pads in PAD LAYER mode (bigtime workflow enhancement for drum pgm editing). low hanging fruit. i'd pay $100 for this alone.

the ugly, improbable, and probably unpopular: use of ultra-small font in GPE and basically all areas of the OS so we can fit more data. see the text used in the 5 TRACK view.

i LOVE this. compare this to the preschool font used in the factory AKAI os. it's hilarious. "My First Sony Akai MPC"

the useful: another program format type. we have DRUM and INST. i'd like DRM1 and DRM2. DRM1 would have exactly the same parameters as we currently use. DRM2 could maybe lose a couple parameters in exchange for VELOCITY->sample start, etc.
