Ok I know there is a lot of talk about pricing going on. Wanted to set a bit straight just so I can avoid a full email box and voicemail every morning :)

I have not been given exact pricing because Akai does not have that info yet as it has NOT been decided. Although, I have been given the ball park ranges on cost so I have placed our orders from Akai already. I am hoping to get some exact prices soon.

Ball park pricing on them... (this is info we got from our sales rep)

These are ACTUAL RETAIL SALE ESTIMATES (NOT INFLATED MSRPs)

Renaissance $1300 +/- a few
Studio $600 +/- a few
Fly $300 +/- a few

Again, are ACTUAL SALE prices not the MSRP you see sometimes (like MPC5000 saying 3999 list but actual sale is $1999.00

*Note these prices are NOT set in stone. These are based on the ballpark pricing we were quoted on purchasing the units. They are subject to change. So please do not call us saying I want the Renaissance for $1300 because that is what it said on MPCforums :)

If you have any more questions shoot us an email.

AGAIN THESE PRICES ARE NOT SET IN STONE BUT THEY ARE THE MOST ACCURATE YOU ARE GOING TO FIND RIGHT NOW. THEY ARE NOT BASED ON A TOTAL GUESSING GAME BASED ON COMPETITION AND OPTIONS.

***THIS POST WAS EDITED FROM ORIGINAL WHEN BETTER INFO WAS PROVIDED**

I can't say I dont agree with you guys to some extent, but I do assure these will be the best in their class... unfortunately the price tags will also be the highest in their class.

Yeah, I am afraid of that. I wish it was an "Apple" type launch. "Here is the new MPC...shipping tomorrow" like an new iMac or something.

Yeah people actually do come up with some crazy stuff.

You wouldn't believe some of the stuff we hear/see. On a regular basis people will buy a $50 MPC casing, description says outer casing, picture shows outer casing, says this is just a casing in the description but they still call and say "I ordered an MPC and you just sent me this casing, whats up with that"
