MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

Some needed fixes/features:

Lagging jogwheel fix, realtime time stretch, non destructive sample editing/chopping, transient detection with sensitivity amount assigned to q-link fader or knob, sample edit while sequence is playing. Editable arpeggios on a grid would be dope too.

Let's see where their head is at with regards to this update...hopefully not in their ass!

Just being considered them being bussy with the new MPC's and such. Don't want to stress them too much

The memory slot would be cool. Same with the jog wheel & adjusting a sample with the q link could be smoother. That's really the only thing that bugs me sometimes.

So Akai tweeted about an MPC 5000 update announcement at NAMM that isn't coming?

Seems like it.... I asked about the update again a couple of hours ago, and no response. If there is no update on the 5k. I'll have a 5k and 1k for sale soon. I'm about through with Akai. I purchased Maschine 3 months ago, and with a few updates. It will be a great piece of equipment It's the route I'll probably take.....

Hopefully, they haven't responded because they're just too busy. We'll know before long.

Yeah, NAMM isn't over yet.

I don't even own 5k and I'm still really curious to see how this will play out. My faith in future Akai MPC OS upgrades is lost for good if this doesn't happen.

@high198: JJOS for 1k doesn't meet your feature requirements?
