I want to thank xparis001 again for the time he is taking to come here and answer our questions.
I was the guy he was talking about who asked him about the MPC5000 update, and I got his reply after less than a day.
that said, I don't know how much I trust that Akai is listening. other people and I have been asking the same question through official ways (website, twitter, facebook...) for the last 3 weeks without getting a clear answer like the ones xparis001 gave us.
I now understand that they have just started putting resources in the communities, social networks and so on, but the past is hard to forget.
anyway, I trust people with real passion in their work and if xparis001's example is the beginning of a new way Akai is going to deal with their users, well... then I guess we might hope for something good coming our way.
on the other side I hope Akai will understand that if we are taking our time to report bugs, suggest new or better features, ... it's only because we love the product we bought and we want to help them to make it better for us, and for all the others that are using it or are going to buy it.
now that Akai have strong competitors in their own market with "similar" products of very good quality (ex. Maschine), they should try to value things like this.
