dear akai... please tell jahrome to stop. while we are somewhat interested in your new line of products, we would really appreciate a less aggressive approach than having a mpc5000 user trying to shove your works in progress down our throats. we knew you'd understand...

Dan it's quite well documented on the boards across the series mate. From personal experience of owning a 1000 from new I've had to replace some myself (about 6-8) within the space of 2 years. That's with reasonably light-average use.

Personally, I don't think that's a huge issue. I quite enjoy a bit of soldering, but it's definitely known that the tact switches tend to give up after a while.

Yeah, I know Poundaproblem has had NUMEROUS issues with the tacts on his 1000! It got so bad that he got tired of replacing them and switched to Reason for a short while! And the dead pad shit on the 1000/2500 is unacceptable as well! That needs to be nipped!

Seriously though...Any tact switch problem I ever had from MPC 60 to 1k was always solved by spraying/cleaning them with contact cleaner.
