What's up fellow mpc users, this is my first post. Just copped my black mpc 1000 a week ago and I'm as happy as a pig in s**t at the moment. After 12 years of being a turntablist, I've decided to get into the beat making side of music, (just brought the beat making on the mpc1000 ebook. I would highly recommend anyone new to the mpc 1000 to buy a copy, best £24 pounds I've spent in a while! Mad props to the Mpc-Tutor for such a dope ebook!)

I've just installed the 128mb ram expansion and a 100gb hdd and the JJos3.12. All I can say is Wow, it makes the Akai os look like some Fisher Price toy!

If any members on here want help regarding turntablism, send me a pm. I will do my upmost best to assist and help you with any questions you may have.

Can any members here, give me any useful hints for a newbie?

sup duder, welcome to the boards. can't help you much on the 1000 .. But i can second your love of the Tutor e-book i bought one for my 2kXL when i first got it and it was (and still is years later) a HUGE help and good reference. I guess you just get stuck in and see how things roll for you... it's likely that any help you need is already in the book or here somewhere. peas 8)

Thanks Harry.Ethics :), the book has been a excellent help to me. I got stuck in first thing this morning, things are going well so far . As the old saying goes "Practice makes perfect", I will get there in the end.
