Oh sht! how'd I miss this!!!

Ya'll gonna flip. I made that beat on maschine!!!

its all about sample selection and the drums fitting well with the sample out of the gate. but I have a secret ingredient ;)

HAHA!!! Its all good though, its that mpc3000 & mpc60 sound I was going for. Some new york nas or something.

actually, if you check out beats randomjoint, lazerbeam, and aliens - they all use the same drums! Im not afraid to reuse drums and i ended up using the same drums because I mad them at the same time.

I just uploaded this one done on the mpc2500 (3 years old)

And this one same drums (bass is a little muddy tho)

peace!!! and thanks!!!

Now back in topic how is the development of the Ren coming along?

1) A suggestion may be if it hasn't been ask already would be to allow intergration of
third party sample editor like the 4k aksys did.

2) A second suggestion would be to have phrase library like the 4k allowing
you to save a favorite midi pattern.

3) A third suggestion is to allow sixteen levels to control
filter, start points, and resonance like the 3k did.

4) A fourth suggestion is to have a easily defined graphic editor for midi
control events that can be edited by the qlink knobs instead of the data
wheel.

My two cents

Dear Andy

if you want the new generation to have any chance of success....

please give that tester job in boston to DSTRUCT

cut the crap on cv, background, yada yada, give the job to someone who knows his shit without a crapademic background 8)

you missing my point .. cyrus did not use ni maschine alone .. he used other gear .. and he was tryin to get that mpc 3000 sound .. using a ni maschine .. my point is its 2012 we should not have to serch for a sound in a drum maschine .. it should have its own dope sound .. not only good work flow .. with a weak sound .. , like the Solid State Logic aws 934 .. best of both worlds .. analog and digital console ... but yes i understan what helfire and cyrus are sayin ,, u can get that with any vst / drum machine .. but with some one like me who makes about 5- 10 beats aday . dont have time to tweek and mix down every beat .and tweak it to get it to sound like . the mpc 3000 or the emu sp1200 or akai s950 ect .. the Solid State Logic does not mix for you but it makes . the job a whole lot eeasy .. but hey maybe the mpc ren will do this

What he's saying is that sound you love is the art and takes skill. The machine you use doesn't matter. An artist can create that sound on any canvas, whether it's MPC, MV, Reason, Maschine or FL. Goes back to the saying "it's the Man not the Machine"! 8)
