9th wonda making moves with Fruity loops

I like kanye but the only thing he had going for him was the Roc. Take everything kanye did with the Roc away and he wouldnt be where he is at by hisself. I think he would still be good but not to the point people would care to know about him.

Man, F the haters, 9th is doing it big, more power to him. So is Kanye.

However, regarding the side topic going on in this thread:

- Success in hip hop has a lot more to do with being at the right place at the right time than having skill.
- Success in hip hop has a lot more to do with knowing the right people than having skill.
- Success in hip hop has a lot more to do with knowing how to hustle than having skill.

Truth is, a lot of people on this site can make beats as good as 9th and Kanye. I've heard tons of rappers on the block that got madd spits and would make Chingy piss his pants. Blah blah blah, don't matter unless you can hustle (that includes knowing how to network), put yourself in a position to be lucky, etc. There are many dimensions to the music business.

yeah, but you gotta admit, if you are better, and you know the same people, youll probably last longer.

your hometown might throw on the most hate...but let me see if i can give an example.

Nas and QB. nas always shouts out QB in all his joints. but a lot of people say that Nas is never in QB, never shows love, or anything like that (not saying any of this is true...but you know how much you heard about this).

that's the same with LB. they barely do anything in NC. they're from here...give us our shoutout...but they're never here. they do shows in some spots where nobody go to. NC is like 4 spots. raleigh-durham, fayetteville, greensboro, and charlotte. when they do shows...they never go to any of them spots. they MIGHT do one in raleigh.

... is a true statement to a point - but you gotta put in the hard work to put yourself in those lucky positions. I work for a radio station and I had to huslte very hard to get a break and get on air - now I'm here i get all these other opportunities to network, I've got loads of gigs that i I never would have got before now, I'm producing tracks for mixtapes speaking to underground uk artists... I believe in karma - what goes around an all that, put in the hard work and you will reap the rewards - i think peoples perceptions of hard work differ alot too, you really have to GRIND at it - of course some people are born lucky or are related to people in the buisness which never hurts your cause - for the rest of us its all about GRINDIN!

well...with all this said....i still like fruity loops....got alot of other stuff...but I gotta soft spot for me loops...

FL is dope, it don't matter what someone uses cuz all that matters is the quality in the end... ya know?

The people who hate on 9th for using fruity loops, I put yall in the same catergory of what I called the drummer with the bumper stickers that sait "drum machines have no soul." I called them closed-minded dick-heads. Music is just sounds put 2gether no matter wjhat you use 2 put them 2gether wit. Another thing dat boy beats are tuff they have no regards for any producers he making dudes wit expensive equipment look real stupid rite now. I personally cant stand loops I like mpc over anything thats in my price range.

Success has everything with being ready at all times for the the right time .

I dont know about your everything means more than skill attitude though player....thats wrong.
