Anyone have a solid answer on the biggest size cards you can use? I read at first that 4GB was the limit and have heard many people cosign this...yet i use a 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, AND 16GB card without any problems. I want to buy a 64GB to store all my breaks and things like that....but those cards are pretty pricey and I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on this subject before I took the plunge.

This needs some clarification because i received an email an hour ago, from Akai stating the below.

"The size of the compact flash card that MPC5000 can handle is from 32MB to 2GB. It also needs to be a type 1 or 2 Compact Flash and SanDisk tends to be one of the most reliable brands"

That's 32 MB not GB.

hi there, check the forum for a flash card thread. issue has been up here before. it's not only the size that matters  , some models from different brands have had problems too.
I also wrote about it for my earlier blue mpc1000 when that one was brand new, with the early pads from hell :x

I'm using a 8 gig Sans right now and I've seen somebody load up samples from a 16 gig... Try the 64 gig and if it don't work take it right back for a refund. Just make sure you get it from a place like radio shack, best buy or staples that have a full money back return policy and not some mom and pop shop.
