weak sound

Hi guys. I am getting a really weak sound from my turntable when i got it hooked up to my mpc. you know, when im trying to record something of a record it just sounds weak. when i got my headsett plugged into my mixer it sounds really good... do i need some kind of pre-amp between my mixer and mpc??


deck->mixer->mpc->headsett (bad quality)

deck->mixer-------->headsett (nice quality)

is it a DJ mixer? in other words, does it have a built-in phono preamp?

whats your input gain looking like?

your volumes turned up?

My volume is turned up, if i turn it all the way it sounds just horrible..

ok.. try this and see if it helps.... you may have the MPC's internal volume set too low...

press MODE + PAD 10

change the MASTER LEVEL to -6dB
