Ok since u ***** ignored me... I decided to do some research myself, and came up with a game plan.

Gonna buy Pro Tools and use that as my base platform, then get the Hybrid and Xpand plugins to get all those extra dope sounds/features.

Now all I need to know is which MPC to get to perfect my set up.. need it to make sampling easier cuz its a **** w the midi keyboard. Or should I get the Akai MPD-32, which is much cheaper?

the mpd32 is a midi keyboard too but it has pads instead of keys.. it basically will do the same thing in pro tools or what ever DAW you are running..

the perfect mpc depends on what you think perfect means.. older models like the mpc 60, the mpc 3000, and the mpc 2000 classic take floppy disks unless you can afford the 100+ dollar scsi card reader for them... and even then, you have limitations with partitioning and what not. Those models dont read folders within the CF cards..

the 2000xl, the 4000, 1000, 500, 2500, and 5000 all can make good use of CF cards and can read folders which help you with organizing samples on cards... some of them can even use hard drives etc..

dr dre uses the mpc 3000, pete rock uses the 2000xl, premier uses the 60, rjd2 uses the 2000xl, just blaze uses (or used to use) the 4000, araab uses the 2500, dj numark uses the 500, damu uses the 2000 classic...

in the end, none of that means shit though, because you need to really figure out what you personally enjoy using.. you need to figure out what features you need, and you need to figure out what models suits your sound the most.... and you need to figure out what fits your budget. They are all great machines with their pros and cons...

P.S. mpc tutor owns this website... show some respect.
