I got my 3000 fixed

Got the 3000 that supposedly needed a whole new LCD screen fixed. Dude said there was a board inside that wasn't getting power or something like that.

Anyway, come to find out the soft key 1 dosent work. On top of that I tried sampling something and I couldn't hear the source coming through when the monitor was set to "on". Are there any chances the inputs could be broke? I know the outputs work because I heard the metronome come through.

You got your MPC fixed by some guy and now it doesn't work anymore?

Take it back and let him fix what he messed up!

PS: Just to make sure... is the rec gain turned up?

Checked everything...the rec gain is all the way up...no sound. Kinda bummed. I've never heard of this problem before.

mpc3000s are so cheap you would have been much better off buying a functioning one. id reccomend you sell that broke joint and cut your losses. even if you fix the issues you not only will be overpaying vs the market value of a 3000, you will forever have a janky mistreated 3000.

The are just so many crazy MP deals out there.
Even see $599 4000s.

People seem to focus on what people ask instead of what they are worth.
I usually buy about 4 different models of MPs a year because they are just so cheap you can't resist them.

It's been a while since I used a 3k but have you checked that you have selected to sample from the analogue inputs not the digital SPDIF ones?

When you try and sample does the VU meter on the MPC move at all but just no output or nothing either way?

See you gave up and put it on eBay.
Seems like the condition of the unit may be more questionable than most of us thought.
I wonder how many different people have really attempted to repair the unit prior to your purchase based on the missing elements?
