I have been reading a lot of threads regarding CF card drives with the MPC 3000. I am still searching for an acceptable solution for an internal card reader. I really don't want to try turning the External SCSI port inwards to accomplish this.

Is it possible to connect the Internal SCSI board directly to a CF card drive. The internal SCSI board has a 26 pin connector. Is it possible to connect a card reader directly to this 26 pin connector?

has any one tried using software on a pc to convert their card to a "FIXED" IDE?

I have a CF reader from JD, which I've tried on 2 3000's running 3.11, one 3000 running 3.10, and one 3000 running 3.5 Vailixi.

NONE of them have worked so far, and all of them work with SCSI Zip Drives with and without the CF reader package installed.

I have all the same symptoms you all are having, formats fine, won't save anything larger than a seq file, etc etc. and i get all the same errors etc.

JD is responsive, and has offered a refund, or to re-sell it in canada where i live.

my last resort is to try formatting my cards to a FIXED state, which apparently can only be done by using ATCFWCHG.com software on a PC, or you must buy it that way online.

correction on my earlier post, with more experimentation, my card reader in fact DOES work with an MPC running 3.5 OS.. too bad i don't have 3.5!!
