Are all 2000's and XL's universal in terms of their power su

I am looking in to getting a 2000 or an XL and looking on Ebay seems to be the best market. Where I live the power supply is 220-240 volt . I get the impression though the 2000 and XL can run on either a 110 or 220 power supply without any need of a transformer. i.e I just plug in and play regardless of my country's voltage. Is this correct ? or are there some MPC's that can and some that can't ?

it says on the back 100v-120v/220v-240v, 50hz/60hz ... but I am not sure if there is an internal switch to flip on the supply itself or what... somehow I dont think it's automatic.. maybe it is? you would have to download the manual and have a look... if it is not in there... try the service manual.

Its a switching power supply not a rectifier bridge/caps one so it always passes out the requested voltage...(i am not sure if it is called that name but its not like normal power supplies)
If it wasnt i would have learnt it first hand cause mine says 120v on the behind and because i bought it from ebay.co.uk and came from england i didnt checked it but it worked perfect..
Also the sticker on the powersupply inside indicates both voltages..!

The 2000XL is definitely dual voltage. I've used mine in England and now here in Las Vegas with no transformer. Just plugged it up and used it.
