Well, he's a forum member that goes by many names around here. As a matter of fact, take a look around the ren forum. Jah probably can help you out on that question.

edit: Just for laughs, don't take it seriously. :-D

Anyways....i have an old Roland DP-2 footswitch...and thought that this could come in handy to trigger the samples iso. pushing F5/Play.

So set the footswitch to F5....and checked my HD for samples....but noticed that when i press the switch that no sample is being played.... :hmmm:

I see the name of the sample selected though...and it looks like it wants to load it....but no loading or playing is happening.

All other functionality for the footswitch works perfect....but F5/Play isn't.

Anybody else noticed this....or am i using the wrong footswitch (latched/non-latched type)...?

I'd like to know if this works on the 4k too.

I'm thinking of getting one of those dual Boss pedals and assigning it to a couple of F keys... 'audition' being one of them.

^^^

I had the same F5 footswitch idea with the same result. I think the Play button in Disk mode needs to be held longer and the footswitch seems to just be a quick on off.

Anybody has any ideas?

I have switched my old Roland footswitch for a Boss FS-5U which has the option to let your switch work in latch or non-latch mode.

Both settings do not solve this Play/F5 problem.....so it seems that it does not have to do with quickly on/off of the footswitch.

Anyways...still can not find out what really is the problem here....

Well that sucks to hear.. Akai should implement multiple ways to do things like this without depending on one button which usually goes bad with time ..
