How important is it to have audio tracks in the MPC Ren?

Yes....MPC2500XL running JJOS128XL has audio tracks. But then again...it is not the Ren's competition.

I went back and found that the Software can bounce to an .mp3, .wav, or .aiff format So if the audio tracks are added we are looking very close to an A-Z product. So my vote is officially yes it is very important.

For acapellas, I use Elastic Audio in Pro Tools. Works great because you can keep the pitch the same and stretch the acapella to your beat without having to alter your beat tempo. Finding the tempo of the acapella song helps even more if possible because you can render the acapella region to an even amount of bars (say 89), and fit it to your beat by stretching it bar by bar instead of having to inch it into place. Hard to really explain, but works great the way I do it! Comes out perfect every time. I can't stand off beat blends!

Point taken. Without audio tracks, we will have to use the Ren as a DAW plugin. Then track vocals inside our DAWs along-side Ren.
