I wonder if AKAI just shipped a few they had to make ppl think they are available and will be before the Maschine mkii?
Hmmm, This would be rather unfortunate and not a characteristic that we would like to see from Akai.
It makes me wonder what is so wrong with the 1st batch that the second batch is so far behind...
We at least need the stores to get a demo version...Perhaps this is only for GC and not some of the online stores? Did anyone confirm that?

32 bit vs 64 bit is not going to mean much right now. In a real production situation, I doubt there is anything that Maschine can do that will exhibit better performance over the REN, that is directly related to REN being 32 bit. I'm not talking about stress testing and running 100 VSTs at the same time.
I made that mistake in the past...looking at the old school Akai MPCs (4000, 3000, 2000XL) and seeing stats that were not the latest and greatest, and choosing other products over the MPC because of that. Like the 16 bit - 44 sample rate stat. I was new to the game and did not know much about the realities of music production. The truth of the matter was that I should have purchased an MPC (4000, 3000, 2000XL) FIRST! before any other dumb a-- product I purchased, and I should have never sold the one I finally got.
Yes I intentionally excluded the newer MPCs, I think their feature limitations are based around marketing strategies and not delivering the best product for the price. This
should not continue now that the software component adds the ability to update the OS across the board. We will see what Akai does!
