My software's crashed probably 15 times in since I started acouple hours ago; I'm assuming updating to Mountain Lion will help stabilize it, just wondering if anyone else with 10.6.8 is crashing alot?

update! i seem to happen after u mix a vst track and a program track in the same sequence

OS 10.6.8.

All I have is my Ren connected to my laptop through the USB, and my headphones in the Ren jack.

I'm trying to record audio playing from my iTunes directly into the Ren in order to chop and assign to pads.

Updated to Mountain Lion today, no difference in MPC software. However, the upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion is nice, makes your display clear as hell .... but no difference in software functionality.

Based on what you told me you have, the only way I can see for you to sample off of iTunes is to set you Mac system to play out of your lap top's built in audio outs. Then connect your lad top's audio outs into the Ren's audio inputs.

Or use Soundflower. It is a free app that routes audio from one app to another. I never used this but Maschine users have. This will be the no hassle solution.
