I'm lazy and have not searched, but the upshot is some kind of rubber stop or pad in between the button and the tackt switch to mitigate the force and spread the force evenly over the tact switch. This should should lengthen the life of them some what. And I think just hole punch some rubber like bicycle wheel tube and glue to button. Double sided tape will just leave sticky mess after it heats up and also attract dirt IMO, so not gonna do that. 2 more switches and it will have cover back on for the first time in ages

i was thinking of maybe a dot of silicon gel or caulk between the button and tact switch, i dont know for sure if it would work right though, it might be hard to get the silicon to harden up at the right size. would be pretty cool.

Well I did use cheap super glue but it seems ok if you use a little, and not heaps like I did. I just cut out little squares from bicycle tube and stuck them to the underside of the button and let them dry before putting them over the tact switch, as I do not want superglue in the tact switch. A friend of mine got me the switches as he was getting other stuff and he got the wrong ones with too high a shaft on the tact switch. So the upshot is that it leaves no room to put the case on real tight. I will have to get more tact switches that are lower and replace them all again. But it feels really nice. It gives a bit and just feels really responsive but not as clunky. Like cant believe how nice they feel. So I will road test the few i have done (see pic) and then do the rest when I get new tact switches in. It is pretty amazing how they just all of a sudden just feel real pro, and its just super glue and bike tube
