Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

everytime i switch on my mpc2000 i get a "disk read error" problem on my floppy so that i am buying loads of floppys that i have to change each day i use my mpc.i tried to load the OS 1.72 on my 250 zip drive but after the mpc scans the scsi ports it asks to insert the mpc2000 disk.

so you have tried updating or redownloading the os?

that fixed my floppy problem

1.72 is the last version for mpc2k.
i didn't try to redownload the os .i'm going to try

yea try that and you might have to unzip it. but unzip it onto a floppy and try that. i used to get disk read errors and my drive/disk used to click reaaallyy loud. but the os fixed it.

AYO U SHOULD TRY PUTTING YOUR FLOPPIES IN ZIP LOCK BAGS THAT HELPS PREVENT THAT DISK ERROR ALSO. THOSE FLOPPIES GET DUSK AND CRAP IN THEM JUST LIKE ANYTHING ESLE THEY NEED PROTECTION ALSO HOPE THIS WERKS FOR YOU PZ !

get a zip drive and just transfer the shti to them. saves u alot of grief. A floppy can hold 1.44 mbs, a zip can hold 100mbs at the least. fuc* all that floppy shi*
