So....... it sounds like you are wondering why you cannot get the sound from your external midi gear to play through the outputs of the MPC?!?!??! How can they do that unless you sample them? The sound from your psr450 can
only come out from the output of your psr450. The sound from your mu-90 can
only come out from the output of your mu-90.
The MPCs audio outputs only output samples from the MPC. That is, the samples you've put in it. You assign MPC samples to the outputs in the MIXER page. This has
nothing to do with midi channels.
Midi data comes out of the midi outputs. The midi channel you send the data from is set in the bottom left corner of the main screen, where you scroll between Drum & MIDI & then go from OFF to the midi channel number. This has absolutley
nothing to do with assigning sounds to outputs.
i even tried using the pads because when i used the keyb. to record it seemed hopeless.
Have you got a midi cable going from the midi out of the keyboard to the midi in of the MPC?[/i]
