Strange.
Since it gets worse at the end of each track, my guess is that you're mpc is just sending MMC to tell Cubase when to start, but the timecode itself is not working properly.
If your timecode was working properly, you can have your tracks start at different points (a few ms like your picture), but it will catch up after a few bars when it's locked to the timecode.

I have cubase set as master and use midi timecode because I've heard it's more exact than midiclock (btw; it makes no difference if I sync it via midiclock or timecode)

well something is obviously wrong with your set up.. well you paid good money for your steinberg product right? then insted of killing yoursef call steinberg tech support, Im sure they can walk you through to pinpoint your problem

btw. what is your os ?
are the drivers to your sound card up to date?
what motherboard are you useing?
cpu?
memory?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY SONAR 1.1 WITH MY MPC 2000. DOES ANYBODY HAVE THE SETTINGS FOR THIS?

-my OS is windows 2000 professional (btw is xp better 4 audio applications?)
-I got the driver that came with my soundcard (and I couldn't find another one)
-motherboard: ASUS P4P800
-CPU: Intel Celeron 2400
-Memory: 256MB RAM

...maybe one of these components causes the problem...

Sounds like a driver issue to me.

I just downloaded the newest driver from m-audio.... nothing changed....

Can you post some pics of the syncscreen in cubase? I'd like to help you out but it's a bit hard to troubleshoot over the internet.

maybe it got something to do with the celeron that u have?(I SAID MAYBE!) not really shure.. or dma is not enabled on your hard drives.

It will always be out of time because of the 8ms difference between tracks. People who have the digidesign mbox have this exact problem. They have to manually shift each track after recording by a few samples so they line up.

Some of the later cubase software has automatic correction of this prob I think. I would try some other apps (demos whatever...) and see if they work better.

The other option is to move the tracks back by the amount of latency you have. So first track...move it back 8ms...next track move it back by 8ms..etc

DMA is enabled...
I'm pretty sure it's NOT a latency issue... like I said every track is time shifted differently!

Cool. That's in German and looks nothing like the syncscreen in Cubase 2. Makes me want to press "hilfe" from the start.

Fo real though, i'm 100% sure this isn't a latency issue. i'm kinda drunk now, but you can send me a private message and i'll try to help you out really.
What other options do you have for "tempo sync" besides intern?

I have noticed this wierd problem with MTC MMC and my MPC.

If I use the Bar FFWD >>> button for example on my MPC the marker in Cubase moves around odd amounts and doesn't wind up on the bar EXACTLY I have a funny feeling the MTC of my MPC is out or something.

Could be related to your problem??
