2000XL-MCD factory card reader in which port?

I've got one of these blue bad boys on the way and from what i've read so far on here it depends on whether the card reader is connected internally to the IDE or SCSI port when it comes to selecting a compact flash or micro drive.

so which is the factory card reader plugged into?

and also, is it true that it's possible to partition, for example, a 16gig CF card or micro drive with OS 1.14 then switch back to 1.20?

Just planning this stuff ahead for when the beast arrives. sorry if ive repeated any questions that may be well archived on here but it gets confusing reading so many different things.

Factory card reader is plugged into the IDE port.


As for the partitions, someone correct me but, I believe v 1.20 only sees the first partition so making multiple partitions would be a waste of time.

I use v 1.14 so maybe wait for a v 1.20 user for confirmation.

ps( The factory reader should be able to use v 1.14. Mine does).
