just type MPC in google you'll come up with dozens of other products excluding akai's

the old MPC Electronics unit stood for "Music Percussion Computer"
akai's MPC was "Midi Production Center"

amongst all the samples there, i noticed they had a bunch of samples from the Atlantex MPC-1


so for the sake of this thread, i've re-upped them as a RAR file here... all original TXT files with the credits on who recorded the samples and where they were originally hosted are still there... so no one is stealing anything here.

have fun with the Atlantex/MPC Electronics MPC-1 samples...

(NOTE: the files are 24bit 48khz WAV format... so you'll probably need to edit them before attempting to load them into most MPC models... or you could always just sample them into your inputs or whatever)

I'm just intrigued that somebody would be that interested in knowing how the name came about.

I mean... the other day I read an article about how many bricks it took to make the Great Wall of China. Again another interesting read but hilarious that somebody would take the time to research that shit.
