press one pad to turn off another

how would i set it up so that if i press one pad, then while thats playin, i go and press another pad at a certain point during the playing of the first pad, and as soon as i press the second pad, it stops the first pressed pad ? i know about going into programs and changing a certain note to poly, note off and whatever the other one is.....is this where i would go? or can u not do this? ? ?

Press Open Window when you have poly/mono/note off hi lighted. You should be able to figure it out from there.

Press "open window" on everything/anything you highlight and most of the time you will get deeper menus. This is a very important thing that MANY people overlook and/or never do.

Word, i've only had my xl for about 2 months, but this thing is deeper than I expected... and I haven't started using all the main features yet.

But yeah, one good tip for people new to the mp is to try pressing 'open window' on anything and everything, anytime.
