can the 60 preview samples in the same way as the 3000 can with os update?

i mean how each pad corresponds with sample assigned while chopping.

:hmmm: be more specific ?

the 60 & 3000 don't have previews like that.. only playback when you recorded a sample,
after you name it, you can edit the sample and save it as a snd.file

i was so sure i saw that when some one was chopping samples on a 3000, they could preview each pad, as they would have been chopped if you know what i mean, chop 1, pad 1, chop 2, pad 2 etc.

It might be a Vailixi function (copy zone to .snd) you refer to, I'm not sure not having seen the video you refer to. But the 3.1 upgrade for the 60, is essentially the MPC3000 3.11 OS. Vailixi 3.50 has additional features not available to 60 owners.

yes. 60 os 3.10e has "copy to temp" and "paste from temp" if i recall correctly...

then you must paste to a sample already in memory.

someone explained a "dummy pgm" with various .1 second long blank samples to paste the "chops" to in the other chopping thread...

fobedafied, i think that sounds about right, i think i recall a blank program.

Yeah that sounds right, some people do that.

Myself I used the s900 a lo before hooking a MPC60 so I'm more comfortable copying a sample, letting sample1 end after half and sample2 start after half. then repeat til you have the amount of chops you desire. I just work faster this way.
