Plese Help!!!

I am having problem with clear sound when I am recording from vinyl .Cables are connected from stanton t62 to phono (its set to phono not line when set to line its very quiet).This is my second trntable first was doing the same but with louder distortion, maby its mpc fault I dont know.I am looking for someone who had similar problem or someone who's good in cables and settings .Please help me I know that this shouldn't be happening

I have pretty much the same setup as you and have had great luck with the MPCs phono preamp. It just sounds good to me. Check your cables. Make sure output setting on TT is set to phono, MPC input is set to phono and that your recording levels are correctly set.

What headshell and stylus and cartlidge are you using.
Many there is a problem.Do I need some fancy and expensive headshell cartlidge and stlus to gain great sound quality?

I just use the standard Stanton 500 that came with it. I have the T.92 btw.

If you get a clear signal through the mixer from the TT's and a distorted signal through the MPC you might check the ground. If the ground is hooked up to the mpc and the signal is distorted try using the mixer ground.

If that dont work use the line rather than phono and record from an out on the mixer.

Oh, I forgot...

Buy some good carts for F'sake. If you want a good quality audio, that is. If you don't care about quality it will show in the final product.
