Question about Time stretching on mpc 1000

I have a drum sample @ 103.5 bpm, now I'm trying to match the new samples bpm with the original bpm. I have Jjos 3.12 on the mpc 1000 witch offers the time stretch. I'm having trouble getting these 2 samples to match up to play together. Some advice is needed please help.

how do you know it is this BPM. 103.5?? is it a sample. If it is then it might be 103.567335, but it only goes to one decimal place so that means you wont be able to do it accurately unless you are absolutely sure of bpm. Do not rely on MPC to guess it, its usualy a bit out. Make sample a loop and put it in astart of a sequence to see what is bpm with looping sequence

Does JJOS 4.99 have the detect tempo option? I remember when I was reading through the original Akai manual (non-JJOS) it listed an option for detect tempo through PROGRAM mode, if my memory serves me right.

I tried looking for this option in JJOS 4.99 and wasn't able to locate it.

yes in the trim window. Edit samples tempo. Pretty simple really, but like I said above you would be foolish to rely on it as it is not as accurate as your brain.
