im new to producing and just purchased an mpc1k i use reason at times but this is my first time using a hardware samp with pads any tips on programming or is it just trail and error and developing your style :?: [/b]

abdizzle - Don't follow in the traditional newbie steps and forget about the free manual download. While you read through it try out and actually press the buttons that you read about and it will all come together in a flash of glory..

Turn off the metrodome for recording, set the timing correct off, and play to your inner tempo along with the ticks and bars. Learn to ride the MPC with no training wheels :D
