mpc2500 & jjos xl upgrade

i know this topic has benn covered and also in forum faq's but i am still confused, so here is my questions.

I have installed the free version and i want to go to jjos-xl

1. i have to install os1, then os2 and then os-xl, right ?
2. can i just purchase one password, the one for os-xl or do i have to purchase for each version a separate passwrod.

1.1. install free (you've done that already) and then install os-xl.
2. yes. you only need the password for os-xl.
