Fourniersean vs Akai EXM128 memory expansion

Hey wassup! Recently I´ve decided to expand my mpc 1000 to 128 mb, and I found on ebay a 3rd party expansion that costs us$ 37... It´s kinda too good to be true. On the description it says that it is actually better than the original akai.. Did anybody already tested it?? would be nice to make a comparison, some kind of "fourniersean vs akai" in order to know if it´s worthy.

Dunno about the 128mb but I have bought many times from Fourniersean without ever having a problem.

Only reason it's "better than the original" is cuz it's cheaper.

RAM is RAM, Akai just made some custom RAM cards that only had the chips on one side of the PCB because that's all the MPC reads, but it's effectively the same as any old 256mb (double because it only reads half) RAM card, provided it meets the specs required. (there's a thread dedicated to it here). $37 isn't ridiculous at all, in fact you can definitely get it for cheaper. Though I wouldn't bother searching around too hard, it's just a need-to-get upgrade, and $40 is still a helluvalot cheaper than the akai brand upgrades, and well worth the expanded capabilities of more RAM.

The only downside it may take a month to get it delivered, but the deliviry was free though!
