There's a program for windows that will let you put the image onto a floppy disk and from there you can put it in your MPC60.

http://www.towodo.com/products/floppyimage/

The program works with USB floppy drives as well.

I'm also in the process of backing up the individual snd files of these disks and making MPC 60 OS 3.1 pgms out of them but its a more time consuming project that I haven't finished yet.

hey, I have the disk that came with the 2000xl, and I believe all those disks are included within the disk... I checked a few of what you posted and those PGMS seem to be there too... I could send you a download link for it and maybe you can get your disk 2 that you are missing. You can also compare the sounds to verify they are the same as yours.

Okay, just PM me a link. Do you know if the PGMs from your disk load on OS 3.1?

no, but I doubt it... however there are all the sounds too I think (in .wav) You would more likely know and be able to sort it out.... at the very least you could try and rebuild it in the mean time until someone who has the legit floppy comes around.

@mr_debauch

Thanks for the link, I just downloaded it. I haven't had much luck converting 16bit wav files or 16bit snd files to 12bit snd files so I'll probably just probably sample from my computer to my MPC60 and recreate it that way.

All of the previous MPC libraries were also preloaded on my MPC4000 HD.

Are the the .SND files going to be in the MPC60s 12-bit/40KHz format, and the .PGM files going to be in MPC60 program format, on either the 2000XL CD or 4000 HD versions of the files?

I'm pretty sure they are 16 bit 44k on the 2000xl cd. I presume the 4000 version will be the same as that would be easier for 4000 owners.

ANd thank's for sharing Ottomatic and mr_debauch.

I think the 60 sounds on that disk USED to be 12bit... because they used to be on the 60... but who knows... it 2000/2000xl can read and load entire mpc60 songs via floppy... you put one of your floppy disks from the 60 into a 2000 and it all loads up fine (you may have to do a couple of minor adjustments) (also, I didn't try this with mpc60 floppies saved on os3.1)

I have sometimes started songs on the 60.. but then got an idea that would involve features that the 2000 has... so I pop the floppy in there and continue the beat.

Last time I tried to load them in my MPC60 it had to convert them when loading and I just opened one of the files up in a wav editor and it states 16bit/mono/44100khz.
I also had trouble putting all the MPC 60 files on one partition. They fit but they would load with glitches.I had to transfer only a few kits at a time to get them to load properly.
