Interface for logic and 1000

I'm gonna buy a new audio interface today to link my mp to my mac, I'm wondering can any one give me any advice on good interfaces to use with logic, at a good cost?

I was thinking about the Alesis io2, has any one used these and am i able to track multiple tracks out at once on this?

You're looking at just a stereo pair of inputs on that one. So you wouldn't be able to really utilize you're MPC's 6 outs. But you could create as many audio (and or MIDI if need be) to cover your tracks in the 1000, Then solo the tracks and record them one by one into Logic.

I haven't seen that interface in person but it appears to be a reasonably amount of features for $99. That's about as cheap a price as you'll ever see on interface.

If you want to quote a possible high budget I could recommend some others. Then price tiers are generally like $149, $200, $249, $300 on up to some head spinning numbers.

That one is $249 though. I've talked to about 6 people who have it and they are like it.

I'll post back if I remember or find on that has 6 inputs, it's usually only 4 inputs un der $200.
