Hook me up with some software/discs?

I've got 1.11 on my XL and looking to upgrade to 1.20 so I can install the card reader I picked up awhile back, but I don't know ANYBODY with a computer old enough to have the 3.5" floppy drive on it for me to transfer 1.14 and 1.2 onto discs with.

Looking to send somebody the 2 blank 1.44 MB discs needed and packaging and return postage, with a couple of bucks for hooking me up.

or of course someone could download the OS onto discs and send them to me in exchange for monetary reimbursement.

Does you're computer have a floppy port on the motherboard ?

if it has you could take the floppy drive out of you're mpc an connect it to the computer an make an OS disk that way.

then put the drive back into you're mpc an update the OS.

just a thought, hope that helps to get you up an running with you're card reader.

they on ebay for like 5$ which is cheap and easy or mpc stuff for 10

If you don't have tower you can port drives into, it would be very worthwhile to invest in a USB floppy. Pretty cheap and abundant, your gonna need to transfer stuff at some point in the future, and then some point again. You might as well have a solution.

But if you want to pay someone like me 10$ todo it every time that's fine too

6 months ago I had to break down and buy a USB Floppy drive from eBay for my ASR-10 disks.
Works great with my Mac or PC.

So I read somewhere that to upgrade to 1.2, I have to upgrade to 1.14 first (runnin 1.11 right now). Is this true? Because yeah, I can find copies of 1.2 for sale, but not 1.14

no.. it will be fine with the 1.20 floppy

Hey everybody, thanks for the replies and PM's. Looking through my phone the other day, I came across a nerdier, more computer-savvy contact I hadn't thought of before after not having been in touch for awhile, but I hit him up and we made some copies of the OS. Everything updated fine, looking forward to finally swapping in that CF card reader I've got after I grab the flash cards I found on Craigslist today.
