Akai mpc 2000 and s2000

yo i have an akai mpc 2000 and i am thinking about getting an akai s2000. Can you hook the 2 together so that your able to use the effects from the s2k to the mpc2k?

Answer to your question is no, but you can use the same FX board in either machine.

Put the FX card from the S2000 into your MPC2000, and while you're at it, do the same for the eight output expansion if its there.

What they all said but you can convert MPC PGM's+Samples to S. Series format using CDXtract 4

And you can drag+drop samples/wav files to the sampler/edit everything if you are still running XP on a computer and have a SCSI card

The good ole Win XP computer, holds the key to a lot of our sampler connectivity issues. Win XP, a floppy drive, and a SCSI card. That'll do nicely if you have the need and of course, the space...

I am thinking of buying an mpc2000 that has a fried motherboard from a buddy for cheap. I already have an xl and an old s2000. Will my motherboard in the s2000 work in the mpc2000? Figured i would look into it before i buy it. Thanks!
