I want a mixer kinda chopping effect on a sample and i can do this by setting qlink to level and cutting a longer sample, like transform style, but the fader on the qlink is to long, and this spams the qlink events in the track and over all kinda sucks, cause you gotta clean up the track in sequence edit

So I was trying to figure out if its possible to assign a pad to to trigger a level event for a different pad? Ie. set a pad to zero lvl another samples pad when pushed and 100 lvl the pad on release, something like that

is this possible?

Hi,

on a TRACK MUTE page press Window, and in first row, change from note on > to level, and second row from through > to immediate.

Now try to make this effect from track mute page, by muting and unmuting track with this sample (note has to be recorded)

This will affect whole machine eating up polyphony, but give it a try.

I think it's only os2xl and you can record that with track mutes. No, there is no such thing as you asked about pad level to another pad.
I don't even remind any workaround for what you ask on any OS except os2xl.

yeah, i said there is no workaround on pre os2xl os's about this. I know what you're doing with q-link. What you mean it **** up your sequence with events? I know there's a lot of them, but does your sequence lags because of that? If not, why do you bother to erase them?

i dont think it lags, it just makes many many events in the track when you only need 2 for each cut. 1 event to 0 lvl then 1 to 100 lvl. also the qlink fader isnt sharp enough so you really need to go in and delete/nudge and adjust the lvl

and yeah i could re-record everything through my mixer, its just the mpc CAN do this type of thing just fine by itself, its just not optimized. there are also benefits to having the events make the chop in the sequence cause you can timestretch and change temp without needed to re-record the sample etc

I think that's killer. But you can do it as stated above. Track mute screen set to level, I put it on an audio track but a sequenced sample should work too.

It isn't that responsive, seems like Q-Links would be the best option, if the sequence data shits you then resample it and delete Q-link data, or record the Q-link data on another track and mute / delete that.

Where's Bliprock to tell us how you can do it with patterns too? If you can control effect settings...
