How to seqvence hardware synth in pluginmode inside Ren seqvenser?

Cant get it sounding trough rens seqvenser. only with cubase seqvencer ...

You send midi from the Ren to your track in Cubase and then have that track send out to your hard ware synth.

This is not what I want to do.

i've tried this with my tetra using the soundtower plugin with no success it seems that the ren/studio cannot sequence external hardware in plugin mode... yet, i hope

i have tried to sequence all my drum and fx and bass in the ren and do the rest in cubase but good luck , its so tricky as the rens sequencer is bloody terrible when working with cubase, its too fidely with the syncing and does not follow cubasees clock time too well... whats annoying is when you change cycle points in cubase you also have to match this in the ren and it just interupts work flow....

i end just just doing all the parts in the ren in an 8 bar loop and then recording everything in to cubase through outputs 1-2 as they are the only outs that have vintage mode, then i arrange in cubase with ease and speed. shouldnt be like that but thats the work around at the moment.

Are you using a PC or Mac? Have you tried to use it in plugin mode? I'll post a video showing 3 different ways of accomplish this.

Yes, the Ren in plugin mode is essentially broken when it comes to sequencing external synths. Having to do shoddy midi routing which only works properly in a few DAWS is not a solution. The physical midi outs should work the same in all modes of operation. Fix this Akai!!

What do you mean the Ren in plugin mode is broken, what exactly is it not doing? Can you describe it in detail. Which Daw are you using?

The physical midi outs not working the exact same way as standalone mode is probably more a problem with the Daws itself instead of the Ren because the Daw determines how midi is routed within the Daw.

yes im in pc using cubase 6.5 always in plug in mode.. im interested to how you use it too.

the last thing i did to try out was to write all teh bits with fx in the ren software in standalone mode then bounce all the audio to cubase then arrange, this worked better for me as in standalone mode its better, plugin mode is terrible
