have they added that into 1.4 yet?

isn't that why we are talking about key group? :hmmm:
you can apply fx to keygroup programs (and plugin programs), but not to drum programs. In drum programs, you have to apply the fx to individual pads, or use sends.

Is there a way to convert a drum program to a keygroup program without having to basically remake it from scratch?

This should definitely be a new feature.

Well Iwent to the Akai booth but they didn't show anything new. Most so-called product specialists couldn't tell anything about 1.4 except what alteady "leaked", and Andy seemed exhausted.

I wish they could have been of more help. :Sigh:

one of the most common complains i hear about Akai product specialists.

the most frustrating thing about this is its something they could easily fix.

this is not a diss, im just giving some constructive crit.

in that video of Dan playing loops off the pads on the studio ... for one it tells you NOTHING about the mpc.. you could pretty much do exactly that with any midi controller and computer... and two.... hes not even triggering the pads in TIME

once again, i mean no disrespect - im just saying from a customers point of view it made me cringe a little.. and make me think to myself "do these guys really make music?"

this is all just opinion of course - just wanted to put in my 2 cents. i love my ren and the improvements that have been made have been great... im not hating over here!! keep up the good work

Yep!

Unfortunately this happens when you hire people with generic specialization/degree and your endorser are posers instead of real musicians.

Man i never read so much crap talking like from some guys here in this forum...

To me seems that people like to talk in the pub/bar, in front of a couple of beers, with friends about features and updates instead of making music.

I mean every-one that is serious about music has deadlines, has to work with efficiency and quick, his platform has to be stable and 99% of the time he/she works in stages (sound design-composing-mixing, etc..)...

Here people wants new features just like candies even before the basis is layered out.

Will see what this 1.4 is gonna bring on the table.

.

I'm not 100% agree with this statement...Be serious about music is not "only" comercializing your music....I am dead serious about my music but doing it for the pleasure it give me not to sell it so I guess like me there are a lot of peeps out there that DON'T need to meet any deadline! Not every serious musicians are comercial musicians....I don't give a **** about Music industry!

getting kinda old... Is This an accomplishment/complimenting only forum??
maybe u should realise, that People always complain and rarely give credit for whats working they take it for granted, since their are certain expectations created, and if products fail to live up to those claims, people start forums :-)... It isn't a thing to be proud of, but its human....
or see it like this, anybody on this forum, already has sum affiliation with the product, and most of them don't feel like mentioning what does work, but please, give people the room to complain, even hating bitching and wining, its like religion we all believe in (in this case) AKAI but you"LL be hearing it, if somethings not right...
( not referring to silenced catholic molesting) but u get the point...
you are JAH ? Right??

akai could do some thing better, and its fair to say so... Since we are paying them...
all I have to say bout this...and oh yeah I've been expecting sum musikmesse akai vids too...
hopefully won't be edited or deleted, or it would just further proof my point

p'z

all hail Akai

Nobody wants to come to a forum and read a bunch of threads from complainers, haters, bitch-ers, whiners, etc. This is not an official Akai site. Complainers should take it to Akai's official site if they must. Then find a product they can praise and use that.

This is a 3rd party technical support forum. The MPC Forums use to be a place where you can gain invaluable information on how to use an MPC.

*Note that whining is what puppies, babies, and **EDIT** do to get attention.

This thread was intended to discuss the actual software update coming soon.
