i'm so glad! this is great news.
i have been hoping that he could do parallel development for small/big screen os's, much like he did for the 2500/1000 os's.

Edit: It's also quite a shrewd marketing move. It dangles a carrot for people to upgrade to the large screen. 8)

Exactly. I heard there won't be specific OS3 features. I hope 128XLCD users will make the right feature requests for us small screen users

Aha!

And now anyone who ever denied the existence of a true and righteous GOD,

who loves us and gives us drum machines,

is probably feeling pretty silly now.

Right, so in summary:

The small screen version of the large screen 128XL is OS3, not OS128. Of course, the 'XL' refers to features not size, but anyway there's already an OS128, but that's for the big screen as well, and it's actually the large screen version of the 'free' JJOS, 3.15 (or 3.10 if you are on an MPC2500). Talking of which, there are already two separate generations of JJOS that begin with 3.x, so will OS3 be another 3.x? Well maybe not, because OS1, which was actually the second generation JJOS, was given version 4.xx, and OS2 (generation 3) was actually v1.xx.

Hope that's clear. :smoker:
