Maybe not the proper thread to ask, but I find the search on the forums not that great.

Which OS, if any, offers the ability to sustain the sample on a pad longer than its duration? I am running the free JJOS, and maybe it does it, but I haven't been able to figure out how.

Example would be to extend a vocal sounds without having to mess with pitch/tune settings..... does that make sense?

It wasn't the proper thread, it had nothing to do with your question. If you can't find what you are looking fro via the search, simply start a new topic - I have created this one for you.

Answer - loop the sound using a loop start point later in the sample, so it initially plays from the very beginning of the sound, then when it reaches the end point, it loops back to the loop start point (Lp) then bck to the end point, then back to the lp, and so on, until you release the pad.

I believe all MPCs and OS can do this.

Not sure exactly what I am doing wrong.

Load sample - > TRIM - > F1 (LOOP) - > Jog Wheel Lp to ON - > Lp: set to ***** (near the end)

But it just plays the loop section and skips everything before it. Very confused.

Figured it out. WINDOW over Lp start - selection to change loop point as start point yes/no
