MPC Ren and AU plugins!

Hello!

My problem is that when i open an au plugin and do changes to it, i dont get the changes in the plugins after i have saved and restarted the mpc beat.

Any ideas why the changes in the plugins wont be saved?

I just noticed the same thing when using Sonalksis FreeG plugin today; I use it for changing gain when I don't want to touch the track volume fader.
Every time I got back to the song, I wondered why there's a certain track that always sounds too quiet even though I swear I brought it up the last time.
I realized it doesn't save its settings.

Yes that is what is also happening to me, with different plugins.

It would be great if they could keep the changes so i can mix in this program and dont need to export the tracks

I think their have been several reported issues in the forums with AU plugin instruments and effects.

Any issues with VST plugins?

Is this happening with only Apple AU effects or AU effects from other companies? Please list names of the plugins you are having issues with.

I just unchecked use AU plugins in the preferences.
They honestly shouldn't even claim to support AU. They load but they have all kinds of problems

Just use VST where you can

That's fine and dandy. But I am more interested in specifics. Need as much details as possible to send to Akai to address. You do want them fixed?

Yes I'd like them fixed

Pretty much all AU instruments get stuck notes. You play a key and it gets stuck and wont turn off.

Most AU effects don't save their settings.

This is testing with mostly Native instruments plugins and other various 3rd party FX and instruments.

The one stand out that didn't have any problems with AU was Fabfilter stuff.

At least Sonalksis FreeG (AU) won't save the settings.
Its VST version does.

I don't have my AU plug-ins loaded anymore and I don't plan on doing it again anytime soon if I feel up to it I will check them out and post back here again. I don't remember which ones they were and I am okay with using VST plug-ins instead anyway. I might have some time this coming weekend and I could check them out then.

I sent a report to Akai on behalf of AU plugin users based upon the info provided here. Any plugin I want fixed in a timely manner...I send detailed information so they don't have to play 21 questions with me.

I'm just saying....

Settings not being saved or notes sustaining?

None of my AU FX plugins work in any way, shape or form!
(ie saved state recall and automap don't work)

These include:

Softube
Soundtoys
Voxengo
Breverb
Eventide blackhole
Valhalla
Reverberate

Most of these I can just use as VSTs but I can't use blackhole which is extremely annoying!
