Yeah it syncs but in plugin mpc controls: play, overdub don't respond unless you click 'overdub' on the software as it is slaved to a DAW

You can change this behavior in the plugin preferences menu. Right now you have it set to DAW you should change it to plugin. Also if you set up your DAW to respond to the transport controls then you can hit play in either program to start them both playing.

I hope this midi tingy will be the ability to send midi from ren's/studio's midi out when using the software in plugin-mode. I can't now use my s950 synced to mpc at all because there's no possibility to record multiple tracks at the same time from s950's separate outputs to ren's software/daw. That's all I'm asking Akai, make me happy please :smoker:

You can only have one instance of software open at any one time though?

It looks like a tab for a new mode page, I think maybe Step Edit (MIDI Event Edit?), as the icon is right next to the Step Sequence icon, or maybe a MIDI Controller Mode?
